The world’s best clubs and the future of nightlife
On 20 November 2024, Valencia will host the 9th edition of the prestigious Golden Moon Awards gala, which will reveal the world’s best clubs on The World’s 100 Best Clubs™ 2024 list. The ceremony will culminate two days of intense events: The 10th International Nightlife Congress and the 5th Spanish Nightlife Congress.
This year’s event will be hosted by renowned British DJ Judge Jules and acclaimed Spanish journalist Lara Álvarez, guaranteeing an unforgettable gala atmosphere.
World’s best clubs – prestigious awards
The Golden Moon Awards is one of the most anticipated events in the nightlife industry. The gala recognises venues, companies and institutions that have particularly distinguished themselves in a given year. Award categories include:
- World’s Best Innovative Project in Nightlife 2024,
- World’s Best Collaborative Project in Nightlife Security 2024,
- World’s Best Festival 2024,
- World’s Best Club 2024
The list of The World’s 100 Best Clubs™, however, attracts the most attention, with the results determined by 304,842 votes from the public and the assessments of a professional jury.
DJ Judge Jules – club music icon
Judge Jules is a true legend of the world music scene. He began his career in 1978 and has since achieved success as a DJ, producer, promoter, radio presenter and… music lawyer. His Judgement brand is emblematic of his iconic DJ residency in Ibiza, which ran continuously for 16 years.
He has over 200 songs to his credit, including 15 Top 40 hits in the UK. His radio show The Global Warm Up is listened to all over the world, amassing 750,000 downloads a week. Judge Jules is also the winner of prestigious awards such as DJ of the Year and Best International DJ.
Lara Álvarez – Spanish TV star
Judge Jules will be joined by Lara Álvarez, who has gained popularity as a presenter of programmes such as Supervivientes and Gran Hermano. However, her career goes beyond television – she made her musical debut in 2021 with a song for Euro 2020.
Álvarez is known for her professionalism and her ability to create a unique relationship with her audience, making her presence at the Golden Moon Awards gala a great asset.
Nightlife congresses – space for innovation and development
Prior to the gala, two important industry events will take place: The 10th International Nightlife Congress and the 5th Spanish Nightlife Congress, which will attract industry representatives from around the world.
Nine panel discussions will cover topics such as:
- “The Future of Nightlife”
- “Safety as a Fundamental Pillar of Nightlife”
- “Nightlife and Culture: The Rise of Nightlife as a Cultural Phenomenon”
The events will be held at the SH Valencia Palace Hotel and provide an ideal opportunity to share experiences and make new contacts in the industry.
