International Drink Spiking Awareness Day

level 27
safe party

On the occasion of International Drink Spiking Awareness Day today July 15, the International Nightlife Association is glad to announce its collaboration with Stamp Out Drinking.

Drink spiking occurs when a person deliberately adds alcohol or another drug to a drink without the knowledge of the person who will be drinking it.

Our goal is to raise awareness on drink spiking prevention at a worldwide level by providing training, knowledge, and drink spiking prevention products (such as StopTopps) to nightlife business owners and nightlife users.

This year, Stamp Out Drinking is releasing a public awareness video that highlights what to do if you or someone you know is suddenly feeling that they could’ve been spiked, how to safeguard yourself and where to get support.

Make a difference!

In order to get the message across we encourage you to share the video on your social media and tagging @stampoutspiking @stoptopps and using the hashtags #stampoutspiking #ISOSD #drinkspikingawareness.

We also encourage nightlife business owners to carry out the Drink Spiking Awareness Course conducted by Stamp Out Spiking. This course is focused on training staff to identify potential spiking instances and manage drink spiking occurrences and receive your accredited drink spiking awareness certificate.

Keep in mind the International Nightlife Association has incorporated drink spiking prevention as a mandatory requirement to obtain the International Nightlife Safety Checked (INSC) seal. These specific drink-spiking prevention measures include incorporating drink-spiking prevention products and the mandatory Drink Spiking Awareness Course.
